Guta/ blow glass/ – the concentration of emotions multiplied by the talent of the artist, engraved in the fire and arose in space. This is a special world with its own soul, temperament, vocabulary.
The passion for gut laid the foundation for Andriy Petrovsky’s artistic method, which consists in combining traditional everyday objects and spatial compositions typical of easel art. Capturing the moment of origin of the idea, its transformation and embodiment in space, the author takes into account the physics of the material, its aesthetic load. The artist examines the glass mass in order to identify its spatial-plastic, light-color properties. The wide range of thematic appeals of the glazier allows to distinguish his works in creative series: utilitarian-decorative, sculptural, abstract compositions. The emphasis is on the imagery of form and the harmony of proportionality. What is artwork for you?
Artwork is a wonderful process called simply – life. You live, experience, rejoice, cry, feel joy, and feel sad – you create. And vice versa, create – live
What do you consider the most valuable in life?
Words of the song: «… heart – to beloved, soul – to God» – are important for me. Truthfulness and honesty first of all to myself and to all – because it is life, and it is, in turn, artwork.
Contemporary art, in your opinion, is …
-If you mean «modern art» then it has no meaning for me.
I do not divide real art into modern and not modern, provided it is real…
What are your hobbies? -I am very fortunate, my hobby is glass, and glass is artwork and life and work!
