Igor Kovalevych Artist and ceramic artist, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, member of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva, was born in 1953.    In 1975 he graduated from the Department of Art Ceramics of the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (now the Lviv National Academy of Arts). Igor Kovalevych is a participant in art exhibitions in Ukraine. , and abroad. His collection holds a number of distinctions from a variety of specialist forums, including the Split Prize at the IV International Triennial of Miniatures (Croatia, 1993), the Third International Biennale Art Ceramics Award (Egypt, 1996), the second prize at the 5th International Biennale of Artistic Ceramics (Portugal , 1997), the Politeo Award, received at V between # people triennial mini ceramics (Croatia, 1997), jury prize at the VI International Biennale of Art Ceramics (Portugal, 1999). Special honors at the VI International Biennale of Small Forms (Yugoslavia, 2000), Between People’s Biennale of Ceramics (Korea, 2001, 2003.2005), III International Biennale of Applied Arts (Korea, 2003) .In recent years, I participated in the International Exhibition of Small Forms of Ceramics in Zagreb (Croatia, 2007), where he received the Winkovac Prize at the 5th International Biennale Applied Arts (Korea, 2007), VІІІ International Biennale of Art Ceramics (Portugal, 2007) and II International Triennale of Silicate Art (Hungary, 2008). The artist’s works are stored in the collections of the Museum of Ceramion in Frechen (Germany) and the Museum of Ceramics in Boleslavets (Poland), at Na ionalnomu Museum (pavilion Meshtrovycha) in Zagreb (Croatia) and Center for Contemporary Art in Cairo (Egypt)
